Angela Missoni dreamed up the most compelling argument in years for the rich bohemian look. After a photo op at La Scala and impromptu catwalk at the Piazzo Duomo, her models convened at a boutique, where the clothes could be admired in a convivial atmosphere enhanced by a display of the new Missoni campaign, featuring family portraits by Juergen Teller. Every inch of the collection was richly textured, patterned, earthy and artisanal. As skillfully balanced as the patterns were the proportions, as fitted suits, vests and trousers offset the volume of the sweaters, coats and mega scarves. The total look was supple, elongated and piled up. It may take a young thin man to pull it off, but there was something irresistible in the celebration of craftsmanship, comfort and family. Definitely chic.
