Lawson, formerly known as The Grove, are a four-piece Brit band signed that are signed to Polydor Records. The combo consists of Andy Brown, Adam Pitts, Joel Peat and Ryan Fletcher, who are originally from Liverpool, Chesterfield, Mansfield and Brighton respectively. They are currently based in London. Their début album, "Chapman Square", is due for release on October 22, 2012. It has been preceded by the Top5 singles "When she was mine" (here)and "Taking over me" (there), with their third single "Standing in the dark" set for release on October 14. Guitarist Joel Peat said of the album : "We're all so excited to release our début album, we've been building up to it for the past four years, and the album's title for us is special, because it is the first place that we played together as a band".
