Murat Başaran - "İşte o sensin"
Hailing from Ankara, Turkish singer/songwriter Murat Başaran started his career in 1997 with his début single "Azıcık ucundan " ('A little tip') off the eponymous album released in 2000. After a five-year hiatus (and a face-lift), he's about to drop his fifth studio album, "İşte o sensin " ('Here you are') and has just given his fanbase a video, directed by Cumali Çöp, of the much anticipated title song.

Snapper : Krzysztof Wyżyński
Wadim Latalski by Krzysztof Wyżyński
Hailing from Warsaw, Poland, photographer Krzysztof Wyżyński started as a stylist for MTV first, after featuring in a commercial. Aware of working in an industry that can't stop changing, he doesn't like routine and always tries something new with every shoot. He's inspired by movies and songs, models and snappers. He admits to be a pop trash fashion victim -in his words. An admirer of fallen angels, he's into cigarette smoke, decadent chic, androgynous look, dark shadows and cold colors.

Robert Geller
Robert Geller transported to the year 2113 and returned with a collection of lightweight and forward-thinking outerwear. "I've always been drawn to the darker things", he said before his show, surprising no one who's followed his career. So when he said he'd been thinking of beaches -hives of sun, fun, and frolic- you thought, hmmm. Until, that is, he adds that it was Sarah Moon's photographs of beaches that set him on his course. Her moody sepia-toned landscapes, with her signature soft focus and eerie thrum, are a world away from Spring break, and well within Robert Geller's wheelhouse. These are the kind of beaches Meursault (read this) must've wandered down, pistol in hand. Summer fun, Robert Geller style : wide pleated shorts, hand-knit mesh tanks, a long trench, a flowing plum tee. Who needs SPF ? Especially when, in a regrettable touch, the German designer zippered his pale wanderers into neoprene leg warmers and armbands. Without them, the collection he showed had the hallmarks of his long-honed aesthetics, something he said he'd been considering lately. Gypsyish layers. Loose tailoring that's at least half sport. Robert Geller's boys have always been of the student-revolutionary stripe, and those aren't beach-blanket-bingo types (although, for the first time, they'll be able to wear RG sneakers, made in collaboration with Common Projects). But in moments where proportion and form worked together -Charlie France in a collarless baseball shirt and carrot trousers (5th pic) that hit at the ankle, say- they had a Gellerish charge of their own. Which is not so bad at all.
