Sami Yusuf, 32, is a British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist musician of Azeri origin. He released his first album "Al-mu`allim " in 2003, selling over two million copies. Following the release of his second album "My Ummah " in 2005, he was heralded as "Islam's biggest rock star" by Time magazine for his success in attracting a relatively young fan base from diverse regions across the world. In 2010, following a five-year hiatus, his third official album "Wherever you are" was launched, manifesting his self-coined genre : "spiritique". His fourth upcoming studio album called "Salaam ", featuring Malaysian pop star Siti Nurhaliza, is due out in November. In the meanwhile, Sami Yusuf dropped an awesome video for his song "It's a game". Originally conceptualised back in 2007 as a response to the controversial Dannish publication of cartoon images mocking the Prophet of Islam, this outstanding animation music video intelligibly unites all the sacred traditions of the world to highlight the need of reviving the shared values of peace, love, moderation and tolerance. The underlying message and the spirit of the animation professes to be the voice for the majority of silent, decent and intelligent human beings who, irrespective of race or religion, want to live in peace. It is aimed at countering the ever-growing Islamophobia and the influence of opportunistic groups by uniting peoples through shared symbols and metaphors that place unity, respect, love and knowledge above alienation, isolation, bigotry and ignorance. It identifies the popular discourse led by a few hostile, loud and manipulative individuals as a "game" and reminds us all not to be a part of this so-called "game".

Shipley & Halmos
American designers Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos make a yearly pilgrimage to Colorado. "The Jeff and Sam annual summit", they called it at their showroom, with their usual chummy good cheer. This season, it provided the inspiration for their collection. Shipley & Halmos aren't in the thrall of seasonal trends, but they do continue to tweak their collections. The synergy between formal tailoring and sportswear served as the expertly translated design language of the collection. While remaining truthful to their philosophies of individualism and modern classicism, the designers explored themes of nostalgia and cold weather retreats. The Colorado theme this year sent them in the direction of outerwear, which hasn't been a focus until now, and served as the foundation for each look, which are normally typified by bold and warm hues. Suddenly they found themselves turning out suede-patched puffers, three-quarter-length car coats, lined shirt jackets, and Patagonia-style fleeces. Even their suits got in on the action. "How can we make suiting more of an outerwear piece ?" the duo wondered, and answered their own call by cutting theirs in an extra-heavy Italian wool. Their usual array of jeans, casual chinos, and affordable suiting rounded out the range, as did footwear that might stand up to Rocky Mountain conditions if you were careful : a hybrid desert boot/hiking boot, offered with both contrasting and matching laces.

Иван Дорн - "Идолом" Ivan Dorn -"Idol"
Rusian-born Ukrainian artist Ivan Dorn, 24, started singing at school and first appeared on stage when he was only six years old. He won many competitions in Ukraine and Russia and decided to enter Kiev National University to study drama in 2006. His first single was a duet with Anya Dobridneva, "Пара нормальных" (a pun that can translate to 'Para normal'). In 2010, Ivan Dorn started his solo career and also starred in a movie entitled "Влюбленные в Киев" ('Lovers in Kiev'). In May 2012 came out with his début solo album "Co’n’Dorn". The name of the album appears to be "Dorn and Co" written in colloquial slang and backwards, probably referring to the fact that many of his songs were written in partnership with other artists and wanting to give those partners top billing. "Идолом" ('Idol') is the first single video from this album.
